So you either have or you are a senior. How exciting! I love to photograph these young people right on the cusp of adulthood. These photos will likely be the last professional photos they will have until they get married. So let's get these sessions done right! There are many ways to ensure a successful senior photo shoot.
LOCATION: I prefer to photograph my seniors outdoors on location somewhere. They tend to be more relaxed and you don't get the stiffness you find in the posed photos. Perhaps you have a place in mind or I can help choose a location during your consultation time.
CLOTHING: During the consultation time we will also discuss clothing. Please bring a few different items of clothing so your senior can change up their look. I would let them choose one, you choose one and maybe a couple more together. Try to stay away from bold patterns. You can also bring in choices to the consultation and we can go through them together.
FRIENDS: Have your senior bring along a friend or two. They will be much more relaxed and the friends can usually get them to smile easily. Upon request I will be happy to do one best friend's photo of them together but I will not photograph the friend by themselves. However, if the friend books a session I can do them at the same time. They usually really enjoy the double sessions.
Will I provide a photo for senior night? Yes
Will I provide a photo for announcements? Yes
Will I custom design the announcements? Yes
Do I have to book a consultation? No, but I strongly recommend doing so as it helps ensure a smooth session. They are a no cost/no obligation time to go over pricing, clothing, locations etc.
